LOTUS!

Finally, after the end of the session, I am able to post a few of the best shots from an epic Lotus shoot my group and I got to do out at the dry lake bed in El Mirage, CA. I'm convinced it's one of the best places to shoot a car in all of the California. Both of these images were photographed by me, but credit also goes to Narek M, George Pesce, and Rylee Hencley, since the whole production was a group effort. Also special thanks to Mark of Zen Engineering for letting us photograph his car!

Hope you enjoy, and if I get to a chance to edit more you will see more posted.

Fiction Perscription

I am sad to report (at least for me) that this is the last editorial I get to do for my advertising class this session. I have loved these assignments so much that I'm sad to not be able to continue doing them! For the record this has been one of my favorite classes I've taken at Brooks, and am so glad I ended up taking it.

Last Editorial:
Layout inspired by the famous Alexi Brodovich

Thanks to my lovely roommate Natasha for modeling for me last minute!

Mmmm Martinis....

Another editorial....this time we had to work with asymmetrical layouts (as opposed to the symmetrical one I did for my "crazy for cakes" layout). Not sure if its truly asymmetrical, but nonetheless I'm really happy with it and feel like it works well. I haven't done a straight up hot-light product shot in the studios at Mason in sooo long! It felt good. Reminded me how much I love it. Big thanks for Chris (again) for assisting me in the studio and helping me with everything. I have such a great boyfriend :)

Enjoy, and comments as always are appreciated :)

O those sneaky lil' smoothies...

In sticking with my self-assigned food week, I shot another food shot for my advertising assignment that dealt with "perception vs. reality". I thought it'd be cool to play off "healthy" foods that actually aren't so healthy...and one of the ones I think of off the top of my head are smoothies. Some of them have up to 60grams of sugar! Thats two candy bars! Yikes.

I'm beginning to fall in love...hard...with food photography that is. I really, really, really like it. It makes me smile :)

Anyways hope you like!
