Hearts of Romaine
Hearts of Romaine salad with candied pecans, apples, and blue cheese. Courtesy of Corktree Cellars. (good thing Chris was there to eat it, the pecans were an unfortuante suprise).

Group Shoot! Hot Beverage
Here are some highlights and the final finished layout from our group's theme "Teas" for our beverage assignment this week. We got to shoot some beautifullll (and also extremely expensive!) teas from a store called Teavana, including: Lavendar, Acai, Green Tea, Almond Biscotti, Strawberry Lemonade tea. One of them even bloomed into a flower after it was done steeping! They were pretty incredible, I must say. Our studio smelled magnificent.
Hope you enjoy! Group copyright also goes to Becky LeVeck and Laura Hatch :)

Mmmm....Sweets!
First Food class assignment.....I was stoked about the subject matter but I've got to say food styling is very, very tricky if you don't know what your doing...I really respect food photographers now! I'm looking forward to this class...keep on the look out for more food shots to come this session :)

Vespas are Back!
Hey there! Hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween.
Over the weekend I got the chance to photograph a pair of beautiful vintage Vespa's courtesy of Mr. Will Sweda (and Brian too!). I was pretty stoked to get the opportunity to photograph some blue Vespas, because not only do I not have a blue scoot in my portfolio thus far, but I feel like its a pretty rare color to find at all....and what do you know, I got my hands on two!
It should be noted that these are two different blue color bikes....one is more periwinkle blue and one is more cyan. Both were shot in Santa Barbara.
Oh, and a little plug...I will be continuing this project up until I leave Santa Barbara after graduation and plan on making a book out of the images...so keep your eyes peeled for that!
Ciao!
